The autonomous government-aided engineering college known as Coimbatore Institute of Technology (CIT) is situated in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. The V. Rangaswamy Naidu Educational Trust founded it in 1956.
CIT is accredited by the All India Council for Technical Education and affiliated with Anna University. The National Board of Accreditation has granted the Institute accreditation and autonomous status since 1987.
In addition to M.S. and Ph.D. Research Programs, CIT offers 12 Post Graduate Academic Programs and 9 Undergraduate Academic Programs.
The Institute has visionary leadership and skilled, qualified faculty.
The Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers’ Coimbatore Regional Centre conducts business out of the Institute’s Department of Chemical Engineering.
Since 1956, CIT has been one of South India’s most renowned and esteemed educational institutes. Mr. K. Krithivasan, a notable graduate of the Institute, has been named CEO-designate of Tata Consultancy Services.

I find the teachers of this college very supportive, the infrastructure of the college is very good. The college management is strict and so are the teachers but they are doing there jobs i guess. The education quality is very good here.

This is a good college for overall develop of the individual, have learned a lot from the teachers. College management was very good, 75% attendance is compulsory here.
