As the TS EAMCET 2025 counselling process is ongoing, this article provides some conclusions regarding the competition for Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and CSE seats at top engineering colleges across the Telangana State. With the TS EAMCET 2025 CSE cutoffs have closing ranks over (600 categories) in colleges like Osmania University (OU), JNTU Hyderabad, etc., similarly, College of Engineering, JNTU Kakinada (CEJNTUK) – that’s not even half of the demand for Computer Science in more popular private college options such as CBIT, Vasavi, and GRIET. They really enjoyed the closing ranks from category-wise closing ranks of 1,600 to 2,500 for CSE.
Meanwhile, mid-tier institutions such as MGIT and CVR had CSE cutoffs anywhere between (2,200 and 6,500) for CSE as school aspirants must focus on better alternatives. Candidates from reserved categories have an opportunity to secure a CSE seat with cutoffs closely following institution demand - but all reserved categories have competitive cutoffs (as there is better differentiated demand within institutions). As outlined above, these results demonstrate the greater preference for CSE amongst the younger university generations due to the available job opportunities - from software engineering to data science and AI, etc.

How to Get a Good College for CSE Through TS EAMCET?
Strive for an excellent TS EAMCET score: Aim to get below 5,000 (General category) to ensure you get good quality CSE College with allied branches.
Achieve a good Intermediate (IPE) presentation: Your IPE score weighs at 25% and then converted to your final rank.
Don’t slouch in any one area: Focus on equal in Mathematics, Physics or chemistry
Practice old previous papers and mock tests: It is the best way to gain accuracy and the speed level you may not possess.
Be smart about your web options: fill a lot of CSE and allied branches as your preference choice.
Fill your preference with CSE branches: key preference order is CSE(AI), CSE(Data Science), IT, Software Engineering (they have lower cutoffs)
Definitely have Phase 1 as a counselling opportunity: this provides the maximum chance of getting a seat at the top colleges only
Use reservation benefits if you can: BC, SC, ST, EWS and female reservation means educational institution seat close to zero cut off
Think about checking previous year cut offs: to realistically guide you in your college priorities.
And don’t forget to fill a range of colleges in your preference order: that way you have ensured you have OBT (best) output choice and contrast of top, middle and safe.
