Step-by-Step Guide: How to Apply for Mumbai University Admission 2025

Mumbai University’s 2025-26 batch admissions are now open. A few updates regarding the same are given below:

 

Mumbai University’s admission updates

  1. The UG courses registration started from 8 May 2025 and are open for the admission process till 23 May 2025. 
  2. The first merit list for UG admissions is expected to be out by 27 May 2025.
  3. PG Courses registration started on 13 May 2025 and is open till 3 June 2025. 
  4. The first merit list for PG admissions is expected to be out by 17 June 2025. 
  5. The MH CET Law 2025 results for admission to the 3-year LLB and 5-year Integrated Law courses are expected to be released by the third week of May 2025.
  6. The MAT May 2025 registration process is open for PBT and CBT; the last date to apply is May 25 and Jun 2, 2025, respectively. Furthermore, the MAT 2025 exams will be scheduled on May 31 (PBT) and Jun 8, 2025 (CBT), respectively.

*Note: Mumbai University admission is based on merit for all its UG, PG and doctorate level courses.

Step 1: Registration Process

Students need to register and login in the university’s official portal: mumoa.digitaluniversity.ac. Following this students are required to click on new registration and fill in all the necessary details and create a password and security questions. 

Step 2: Email/mobile verification 

After filling the necessary details submit the registration form and verify your email/mobile number via the OTP received. 

Step 3: Course selection 

Using the new password login and select your desired college and course

Step 4: Fill the Application Form

Enter your personal, academic (SSC & HSC) and contact details

Step 5: Upload Required documents

Upload scanned copies of:

  • Passport-size photograph
  • Signature
  • 10th mark sheet
  • 12th mark sheet
  • Domicile Certificate (if from Maharashtra)
  • Income Certificate (if applicable)

If not available, select “Not Applicable” in the Family Income section

  • Caste Certificate (if applicable)
  • EWS Certificate (if applicable)

Step 6: Pay the Application Fees

Pay the application fees online, the fees vary on the basis of category and course. Do not forget to save the transaction slip. 

Step 7 : Final Submission 

After double checking all your information, submit the application. Download and take a print of the submitted copy for future reference.  

Step 8: College specific Applications (if required)

Certain colleges may require you to fill a separate form on their website. Visit the website of your preferred college and follow the instructions mentioned. 

Step 9:  Merit List & Entrance Exams

UG Courses:

  • Merit-based on Class 12 scores (most programs)
  • Some courses (e.g., BCA, BBA, BMS, BBM) may require CET

PG/PhD Courses:

  • May require entrance tests like PET (for PhD)
  • Some PG programs may accept CUET-PG, CAT, GMAT, etc., depending on the course

 

Pro Tips:

  • Keep all required documents ready & scanned in advance
  • Use an active email id and mobile number for all communications
  • Monitor the university website for regular updates. 

Mumbai University LLB Programme Admission Process:

  • 3 Year LLB (for graduates)
  • 5 Year LLB (for students after 12th)

 

Step 1: Registration for CAP

After having appeared for MH CET LAW 2025 register on the CET Cell Portal and choose Mumbai University affiliated colleges during CAP (Centralised Admission Process)

Step 2: Merit List & College Allotment 

After getting the results you will be allotted the seat based on your score and preferences filled. Keep following the CAP rounds for seat allocation. 

Step 3: Admission Confirmation 

If allotted a seat, visit the college, submit the required documents and pay the fees. 

 

Mumbai University MBA degree admission process

The MBA degree admission process of Mumbai University has been explained below:

Step 1: Entrance Exam

Appear for MAH MBA CET 2025 (or other accepted exams like CAT, CMAT, MAT, etc.). Most Mumbai University-affiliated institutes accept MAH MBA CET as the primary exam.

Step 2: Registration for CAP

After getting your exam results, register on the CET Cell Portal and select Mumbai University-affiliated colleges during the Centralized Admission Process (CAP).

Step 3: Merit List & College Allotment

You will be allotted a seat based on your score and preferences filled. Continue to check updates and rounds under the CAP schedule.

Step 4: Admission Confirmation

If allotted a seat, report to the college, submit your documents, and pay the required admission fees to confirm your seat.
