In the case of JoSAA counselling 2025 (Joint Seat Allocation Authority), a spot round refers to a particular counselling session meant to fill the vacant seat allocation in the institutions participating in the process after concluding the normal counselling rounds. The JoSAA spot round counselling offers an additional chance for those candidates who were not able to secure a seat in the previous rounds or those who plan to apply for admission after the usual counselling process is over.
In the JoSAA spot round, candidates who have previously paid the counselling fee and registered but were not allotted any seats and have not registered in earlier rounds are eligible to apply. Vacant seats in different participating institutions are available, and the eligible candidates can choose their preference based on the vacant seats available in that particular round of the counselling process.
Seat allotment in the spot round of JoSAA counselling 2025 is based on the merit list, candidate preference, and available seats at that particular round of the counselling process. Students must note that to participate in the JoSAA spot round counselling, they must have accurate participation status to proceed.
