What is JAC Delhi Counselling? - The Joint Admission Counselling Delhi also known as JAC Delhi is the most common admission counselling conducted for admission to the foremost government institutions that are being funded by the Delhi Government for admission to B. Tech, B. Arch and various other courses. The Joint Admission Counselling is about to release the dates of JAC Delhi 2024 on the official website – jacdelhi.admissions.nic.in. Aspirants will get admission to their preferred colleges through their performance in JEE Main 2024 and this is why candidates will be advised to go through the eligibility criteria first before they apply for the JAC Delhi 2024.

JAC Delhi 2024 Counselling – The Joint Admission Committee will begin the JAC Counselling Delhi Registration right after the JEE Main Result is declared by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The exact dates will soon be released on the official website of JAC Delhi – jacdelhi.admissions.nic.in. Any one of the participating institutions of JAC Delhi is responsible for conducting the counselling process every year. The official website of JAC Delhi 2024 Counselling is jacdelhi.admissions.nic.in.
The counselling process is conducted for admission to 5 institutes that are DTU, IGDTUW, DSEU, IIIT-D, and NSUT. JAC Delhi 2024 Admission will be done based on the JEE Main 2024 Ranks obtained by candidates. According to the last year, there were 6502 seats in engineering and 92 seats in B. Arch program. We can expect the number to be the same for this year too.
JAC Delhi Counselling 2024 will be conducted in 4 rounds and there will be one spot round. Candidates are required to register themselves for each round of the counselling, choice filling, seat allocation, payment of seat acceptance fees, and physical reporting at the respective institutes.

To admit candidates, all JAC Counselling Delhi 2024 participating institutes adhere to a set of admission criteria/processes. There are three JAC Delhi 2024 admission criteria, however:

Candidates will be divided into two groups: those who belong to and apply from the Delhi Region and those who belong to and apply from outside the Delhi Region.
Candidates belonging to the various reserved categories such as SC, ST, OBC (Non creamy layer), and then there are other categories such as Defence, Differently Abled Person, who apply for the seats reserved for them, must be allowed a concession in the minimum mark obtained as mentioned below:

As soon as the authority releases the form, candidates will be able to access the JAC Delhi 2024 application form online. Paying the JAC Delhi Registration-Cum-Counselling Fee, filling out the JAC Delhi Application Form 2024, filling preferences, choice locking, and submitting the application form are all steps in the JAC Delhi 2024 application form process. Candidates are advised to take the steps outlined below.
Step 1 - Pay the JAC Delhi Registration-Cum-Counselling Fee. Candidates must pay INR 1500 application fee online through JAC Delhi 2024. (plus transaction charges). Candidates must log into the application portal using their JEE Main 2024 application form number and name to begin the payment process.
Step 2: Complete the JAC Delhi 2024 Application Form - Candidates must select the "New Registration" tab. Candidates must then enter their JEE Main 2024 roll number, date of birth, nationality, and class 12th passing certificate.
Candidates must enter their personal information and create a password in order to complete the registration process. Following the completion of this step, the JEE Main 2024 roll number will be generated.
Step 3: Indicate Your Preference - Enter your user ID and password to access your account. Candidates must choose preferred institutes and courses. Candidates should fill in as many options as appear on the screen.
Step 4: Choice Locking - Once candidates have completed the registration process, their preferred options will appear on their screens and will be automatically locked.
Step 5: Application Form Submission - The final step is for candidates to submit their JAC Delhi 2024 application form. Candidates should print a copy for future reference.
The JAC Delhi 2024 merit list will be published soon by the admission authority. The JAC Delhi 2024 merit list will be prepared based on the candidates' JEE Main 2024 rank and preferred choices. The merit list will be maintained for all institutes/universities - NSUT, IIIT-D, DTU, and IGDTUW.
However, in addition to JEE Main 2024 rank, candidates will be awarded extra marks for achievements in Olympiads, sports, culture, innovation, and so on. If two or more candidates are tied, the candidate with the higher JEE Main 2024 score will be given preference.
After each round of seat allotment, the Joint Admission Counselling Committee, Delhi will announce the JAC Delhi 2024 cut-off. Candidates must either meet or exceed the cut-off marks in order to be considered for admission. The cut-off for JAC Delhi 2024 will be determined by the relevant authorities based on a number of factors. These factors are the total number of candidates applying for admission and the total number of B. Tech seats available. The JAC Delhi 2024 cut-off will be announced separately for each participating institute.
The Joint Admission Counselling (JAC) Delhi will release institute wise JAC Delhi Cutoff in online mode. The concerned authority will also release the JAC Delhi Cutoff along with the seat allotment results. Interested candidates can easily check the round wise JAC Delhi 2024 opening and closing ranks for the participating institutes such as Netaji Subhash Institutes of Technology, Delhi Technological University, Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women, and Indraprastha Institute of Technology. The Spot Round JAC Delhi 2024 Cutoff (opening and closing rank) is scheduled to be released a day after the seat allotment result is declared. The seats are allotted according to the choices of colleges and courses made by the students along with their availability of seats in a particular institute.
Below mentioned are the JAC Delhi 2024 Cutoff for participating Institutions:
JAC Delhi 2024 counselling will begin soon, according to the Joint Admission Counselling Committee. To confirm their JAC Delhi seat allotment, candidates will be required to pay an admission fee of INR 1,12,000 at the institute. If candidates are dissatisfied with their assigned seats, they can request a seat upgrade. The JAC Delhi 2024 counselling will take place online. Candidates must first register in order to participate in the counselling round. There will be a total of six rounds of allotment.
The selected candidates must be present in person for document verification on the day of counselling. Once the candidates have passed the verification process, they will be assigned a seat based on their JEE Main 2024 rank and preferred choices.
Spot Round of Counselling - Because some candidates will choose seat upgradation, there will be some vacant seats. A spot round will be held in order to fill those vacant seats. To participate in the spot round of counselling, candidates must pay a fee of INR 10,000. This is a non-refundable payment procedure. If a candidate is accepted, he or she must pay an admission fee of INR 85,000 (spot round fee of INR 10,000 will get adjusted).
Every year, the JAC Delhi 2024 counselling committee reserves seats for categories such as SC, ST, and OBC-NCL to offer admission to JAC Delhi 2024. The table below shows the percentage of available seats in each category.

No. Students from outside Delhi region can also apply for JAC Delhi Counselling process. They will be divided based on two regions that is candidates applying from Delhi region and candidates applying from outside Delhi.
The JAC Delhi 2023 Registration Fee was INR 1500 and we can expect it to remain the same in JAC Delhi Counselling 2024.
Both the category and common rank is considered for JAC Counselling.
Candidates who haven’t freezed their allotted seats, will be moved to spot round for further process.
No. There will be no physical rounds for JAC Delhi Counselling. All the candidates will be required to participate in it virtually.
It all depends on availability of the remaining seats after the last round of the JAC Counselling.
A total of 6372 seats in Engineering are offered by the five participating institutes that students can get admission to through JAC Delhi.
There is no MANAGEMENT QUOTA seat in any of the participating university/institute. Candidates are advised that they should not believe in unscrupulous elements claiming that they can arrange Management Quota seats.
Seat allotment status will be made available on Candidate’s Login after declaration of seat allotment result in each round as specified in the counseling schedule.
There is no quota for any of these categories. However, IIITD gives some bonus marks to applicants with specific achievements.
The candidate will not be considered in the remaining rounds of that Phase of counseling. However, he will be allowed to participate in the next Phase of counselling.
