CUET UG Spot Counselling
The spot counselling process for the CUET UG exam takes place after the main rounds of counselling for the CUET UG exam have finished. Unlike other exams, the counselling process for the CUET UG examination is done by the individual participating universities, and not the conducting body themselves. Each university has its own individual rules and rounds for the CUET counselling process.
However, most universities conducting the CUET UG counselling process have ‘spot’ rounds. These rounds of counselling are different from the main rounds. Spot rounds of counselling are aimed at students who were not able to participate in the main rounds of counselling for the CUET UG exam. These rounds are also aimed at students who failed their class 12th examinations. The main goal for this round of counselling is to distribute any and all leftover seats from the main rounds of counselling.

How to Participate in CUET UG Spot Counselling?
As stated, the counselling process for the CUET UG exam depends on the individual university a student is aiming to get admission to. Provided below is an overview of some general steps students will have to take to participate in the CUET UG spot counselling process:
- Registration: Students will be required to register for the CUET UG spot filling process from the official college portal of their choice.
- Document Verification: After registration, all of the important documents of students will be required to be verified by their chosen college.
- Choice-Filling: After all formalities of registration have been completed students will have to choose their colleges. It is recommended for students to thoroughly research their colleges of choice. Students should keep realistic expectations as not all colleges and courses will have seats remaining after the main rounds of counselling.
- Seat-Allotment: After all formalities are completed, the seat allotment process will begin. Seats are allotted to students on the basis of their rank, marks and overall availability of seats.
- Confirmation: After the allotment of seats, students will be required to confirm their admission to their colleges of allotment.
