CUET UG 2025 How to Interpret Score?
Provided below is a step-by-step overview of how students will be able to calculate and interpret their raw score on the CUET UG examination. Students will only be able to interpret their scores after the release of the CUET UG answer key. The answer key for the CUET UG examination is expected to be released in the first week of July 2025.
It is important for students to note that the NTA does do normalization of scores for exams that take place in multiple sessions for the CUET UG examination,
Students can use the following steps to interpret their CUET UG scores:
- For every correct answer, students will be awarded +5 marks.
- For every incorrect answer, students will face negative marking. Students will lose -1 marks for every wrong answer on the exam.
- Questions that are not attempted will be rewarded 0 marks.
- If multiple options are found to be correct, marks will only be awarded to students who have selected the correct answer.
- If all options are corrected, +5 marks will be awarded to all students who attempt the question.
- If a question is found to have no correct answers, the question will be dropped. All students who have attempted the dropped question will be awarded +5 marks.
According to this, students will be able to calculate their overall scores on the question paper. In percentage, a student who has scored over 92% on their CUET UG examination, will be eligible to some of the top colleges in their chosen field.

CUET UG 2025 Counselling Round
After the release of results for the exam, the next step for students is to go through the counselling round for the CUET UG examination. The CUET UG counselling round is expected to take place from August 2025. The counselling round helps students get admission into some of the top universities in India. Students can get admission into some of the top universities that participate in the counselling process for the exam. The counseling process for the CUET UG exam will take place across multiple rounds.
For the counselling round for CUET UG, students will be required to take out multiple printouts of their scorecards and admit cards. They should take good care of these documents as these are very important to get admission into some of the top institutions in the country.
