What is the CUCET Exam?
CUCET or Chandigarh University Common Entrance Test has been instituted to recognize student achievement and assist them to overcome financial barriers and support them in achieving professional success in the futuristic areas of education. A national level scholarship cum entrance test, CUCET 2026 offers a golden opportunity to students to earn scholarships worth ₹250 crores, ₹200 Cr for Punjab Campus and ₹50 Cr for Uttar Pradesh Campus).
While CUCET offers up to 100% Scholarship on almost all programs, following are some of the programs for which CUCET 2026 is mandatory for admission:

- Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.)

Admissions are based solely on the CUCET Entrance Test, with an exception for those who secure more than 90% marks in the qualifying examination or up to 50,000 rank in JEE.

Chandigarh University Common Entrance Test (CUCET) 2026 has been pinned into two different phases, CUCET Phase-1 and CUCET Phase-2.

Please note that you can apply for the CUCET in both online and offline modes.
However, the CUCET 2026 exam will be conducted online only. To make it easy, we have shared a step-by-step guide to help you with both flanks:
For Online:
- Visit the CUCET website -http://cucet.cuchd.in for registration.
- Register on the CUCET registration page and create your profile.
- After successful registration, a confirmation message is sent through SMS/E-mail.
- Once registered, pay a registration fee of Rs.1000/- which includes the digital copy of the prospectus.
- Fill in your current qualification with school name & subjects and choose the CUCET exam date available in the dropdown.
- Appear in the CUCET examination on the scheduled date and time throughhttps://cucet.cuchd.in with your registered login details.
- The result will be intimated through Email. Else, you can also check it onhttps://cucet.cuchd.in in your login account.
For Offline:
First of all, the applicants have to purchase the CUCET Brochure cum form from University admission offices/ Authorized centers by paying a fee of Rs.1000/-. After that, they need to follow the below-given steps:
- Visit the CUCET website-https://cucet.cuchd.in for registration.
- Register on the CUCET registration page and create your profile.
- After successful registration, a confirmation message is sent through SMS/E-mail.
- Scratch the CUCET form and fill in the unique number given on the form in the option available on the website.
- Fill in your current qualification with school name & subjects and choose the CUCET exam date available in the dropdown.
- Appear in the CUCET examination on the scheduled date and time throughhttps://cucet.cuchd.in with your registered login details.
- The result will be intimated through Email. Else, you can also check it onhttps://cucet.cuchd.in in your login account.
CUCET 2026 Eligibility
The eligibility criteria for the undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) courses is as follows:
UG Courses
A student who has scored 50% or more marks in their secondary Education (10+2) or student appearing for secondary education (10+2) from a recognized Board (CBSE/PSEB/ICSE or any other recognized State/National Board).
PG Courses
A student who has scored 50% or more marks in their Graduation from UGC-recognized University.
