The CBSE class 10 Social Science exam was conducted on 25 February 2025 during the day shift from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. The exam was considered moderate in difficulty.

Exam Structure & Content
The question paper was divided into 5 sections:
- Section A: MCQ’s (1 Mark Each) = 20 Marks
- Section B: Very Short Answers (2 Marks Each) = 8 Marks
- Section C: Short Answers (3 Marks Each) = 12 Marks
- Section D: Long Answers (5 Marks Each) = 20 Marks
- Section E: Map Based & Case Based Questions = 10 Marks
The written test makes up the 80 marks and the remaining 20 were allotted to internal assessment.

Expert Opinion
According to the experts the paper was balanced. The MCQs were conceptual and required careful reading. The case study section was application oriented and required interpretation skills. Also the History and Civics sections required factual retention and understanding of political processes.
Student Feedback
According to the students the paper was moderate in difficulty. The MCQs and short answers were mostly direct but some case based questions were slightly tricky. They found the map questions to be scoring.
Tips for Preparation
- All questions are NCERT-centric, especially definitions and diagrams.
- Learn key locations from Geography chapters.
- Use CBSE sample papers and past year papers to practice all sections.
- Understand key economic and political processes instead of memorizing.
- Allocate writing time wisely for short and long answers.
