CAT DILR Syllabus: The DILR section is important in the CAT exam, and has 20 questions asked from it. The syllabus for the exam is not defined by the exam authorities and the topics covered in the DILR section can be asked from various topics. The DILR section is divided into 2 sub-sections, namely - Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning, and the syllabus for the two sub-sections is distinct.

CAT DILR Preparation Tips

  • Focus on high-yielding topics that carry the most weightage and questions that have been asked from this section continuously.
  • Solve CAT previous years' question papers, mock tests, and sample papers to understand what kinds of questions are asked in the exam, and what you can expect in the upcoming CAT exam.
  • Analyse your CAT mock tests, and make notes of all the topics or sections where you could not perform well. Set the timer to 40 minutes, and attempt the mocks. This will not help in improving your speed and accuracy, but will also guide you with your strong and weak areas.
  • With each mock, aim to improve your quant score, and try to get at least 15 questions right out of 20.
