The BAMS syllabus is designed for 5.5 years. It is broken down into four professional years and a year for a mandatory internship. Graduates of BAMS are eligible to practice traditional Ayurveda medicines and practices either independently or in a healthcare facility. The study of Ayurveda, Medicine, and Surgery is known as BAMS. Before pursuing BAMS, it is important to be aware of the following information:

  • BAMS Course Duration: BAMS consists of five and a half years. The final year or year and a half will necessitate an internship for the students.
  • BAMS Syllabus: Unlike other programs, the BAMS syllabus is uniform throughout all colleges. Colleges adhere to the Central Council of Indian Medicine's curriculum (CCIM). The standard of their amenities is the only thing that therefore varies amongst colleges.
