Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) University, Vellore is one of the leading technology institutes in India. Candidates seeking admission into the courses offered by VIT University need to complete the online admission process. The university offers various undergraduate and postgraduate programs under several specializations.
VIT Vellore Admission 2023: The admission procedure to different programs is defined by the several guidelines and norms set by the university. In order to be eligible, the candidates must follow the minimum educational qualifications required by the institute.
- Candidates seeking admission to B. Tech program must appear and qualify VITEEE examination conducted by the university
- For B. Design, the candidates are required to have qualified UCEED examination. However, the candidates who have valid scores of VITEEE are not required to take UCEED
- For B. Arch, NATA scores followed by counseling are considered
- Candidates seeking admission to MCA and M. Tech must take VITMEE examination and qualify it with a valid score
- For MBA, candidates with valid score in CAT/MAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT or NMAT are eligible to apply
- Candidates who wish to pursue their career in M. Phil and PhD are required to take VITREE examination followed by an interview
- Candidates who have qualified any national-level entrance examination such as CSIR NET or UGC NET will get a call for an interview from the respective department of the university
VIT Vellore Admission Procedure to B. Tech, B. Arch and B. Design:
B. Tech, B. Arch and B. Designs are the programs offered by the university at the undergraduate level. The programs are offered under various specializations.
- Candidates seeking admission are required to have passed senior secondary school with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology securing at least 60% marks in aggregate are eligible
- Candidates are required to have appeared and qualified in VITEEE conducted by the university to offer admissions to B. Tech and B. Design
- Candidates who have valid score of UCEED are not required to appear in VITEEE for admission to B. Design and vice versa
- Candidates seeking admission to B. Arch should hold a valid score of NATA

How to apply for B. Tech at VIT Vellore
- Candidates are advised to visit the official website of VIT University for online or offline registration.
- Fill the application form and the candidates must ensure that the details filled in by them are correct
- Any incorrect detail may lead to the cancellation of the candidature
- Candidates must submit the required documents along with the application form
- While filling the application form, the candidates must process the payment of INR 1200 as an application fee
- The payment can be made through NET banking, Debit card or Credit card
VIT Vellore Admission Procedure BA, BCA, BBA, B. Sc and BCHM:
The programs are offered under various specializations.
- The minimum eligibility is to have passed higher secondary school securing at least 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized board
- The students are allotted seats based on the marks obtained by them in the last qualifying examination
- The university conducts counselling for admission. Hence, after qualifying for the examination the candidates must appear in the counseling procedure
How to apply for BA, BCA, BBA, B. Sc and BCHM at VIT Vellore:
- Candidates seeking admission to BCA, B. Com and B. Sc courses are advised to visit the official website of the university and fill the application form and process the payment of INR 400 through net banking
- Candidates opting for the offline application procedure must send a demand draft of INR 400 drawn in favor of ‘VIT’ University payable at Vellore
For B. Arch and B. Sc Honors in agriculture, the candidates can visit the official website of the university and fill the application form. They must process the payment of INR 1100, which is INR 500 for B. Sc Honors) as an application fee while filling out the form. The payment can be made through Net banking, debit card or credit card.

M. Tech, MCA and M. Tech by Research are the programs offered at the postgraduate level. The programs are offered under various specializations
- Candidates seeking admission are required to hold a bachelor’s degree in the relevant field securing at least 60% marks in aggregate
- VITMEE examination is conducted by the university, qualifying which helps students get admission to these courses
- It is a computer-based test
- Candidates who have a valid score in GATE examination are also eligible for admission
- Shortlisted candidates are required to appear in the interview round conducted by the university
How to apply for M. Tech, MCA and M. Tech by Research at VIT Vellore
- Candidates seeking admission to M. Tech and MCA must visit the official website of the university to fill the application form
- The payment of INR 1121 as application fee is to be made online
- For M. Tech research program the candidates are required to have fulfilled certain criteria. Candidates appearing for Master’s in engineering are given 40% weightage to the relevant master’s degree and 60% for written test and interview round

The programs are offered at the postgraduate level. The university offers these programs under various specializations.
- Candidates who have valid scores in CAT/MAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT or NMAT are eligible to apply for MBA
- And candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field for admission to MBA
- Candidates must follow the procedure of Merit in order to secure admission to M. Sc and M. Design
- For admission to M. Design, the candidates must hold B.Design degree while admission to M. Sc requires B.Sc degree in the relevant field.
How to apply for M. Sc at VIT Vellore:
Candidates can fill out the application form for M. Sc online and process the payment of INR 590 as an application fee as per the rules of VIT Vellore. Payment of INR 472 as the application is to be made for M. Sc (Biotechnology.
Candidates belonging to the SC/ST category or are from J&K and Northeastern states are given 40% marks relaxation as per the rules of VIT Vellore:

- For PhD, the candidates must hold a master’s degree in engineering/technology/business administration with at least 60% marks in aggregate

One of the best colleges in India
Placement: Our college provides 100% placements. Many companies recruit students from VIT. Top 10 companies are involved in placements for all the courses. Life becomes heaven if you get placed. HCL and Infosys also provide job opportunities. I suggest students visit and join our university, and enjoy the life.The highest salary offered for engineering students is about 22LPA and lowest package is 10 lac per annum.

One of the best colleges in India
Faculty: Most of the teachers in our college are PhD holders. Most of the teachers are well-qualified. To be honest, about 30% of the professors don’t deserve to be professors. The student has to study on his own from the online portals etc. Most of the professors are like a family. They are very helpful and caring.
