The Admission procedure of Shiv Nadar University consists of a few simple steps to be completed online. The candidates seeking admission to the courses offered by the university need to visit the official website of the university in order to register themselves for the further procedure of admission.
There are several courses offered by the university and these courses come with various specializations. The courses of Shiv Nadar University are offered at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Depending on the type of program, the admission procedure varies.
- For admission to B. Tech, BA, B. Sc and BMS programs, the candidates must appear and qualify the written test conducted by the university.
- Candidates who have valid score in JEE Main examination are also eligible for admission.
- For admission to M. Tech course, the university itself conducts a separate written test and interview rounds.
- Candidates with valid GATE score are also eligible for admission to M. Tech.
- For admission to M. Des, the candidates must qualify Design Aptitude Test (DAT).
- For admission to MFA, the portfolio presentation is considered along with an interview.

Shiv Nadar University- Admission to B. Tech, B. Sc, BA and BMS
B. Tech, B. Sc, BA courses offered by the university at undergraduate level. The programs are offered under various specializations. The candidates applying for admission must ensure that they fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria defined by the university.
- Candidates must have passed senior secondary school from a recognized board along with English as a mandatory subject.
- Candidates' performance in SNUSAT and APT is also considered during the admission procedure.
- Candidates seeking admission to B. Tech can submit their JEE Main scores during the admission. Candidates with valid score in JEE Main are also eligible.
- In that case, 50% weightage is given to the marks obtained in senior secondary school and other 50% is given to the JEE Main score.
- In case, the student is not able to score good, then the JEE Main score (120) will be considered for admission.

Shiv Nadar University- Admission to M. Tech, MBA, M. Sc, MA, M. Desg.
Shiv Nadar University Courses include various programs at the postgraduate level. Candidates seeking admission to any postgraduate level program must fulfill the following mentioned criteria.
- Candidates applying for M. Tech must possess a Bachelor's degree in the relevant field securing at least 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized university and must qualify the written exam conducted by the university followed by an interview. (students with valid GATE scores are also eligible)
- For admission to MA, M. Sc, and M. Design, the candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in the relevant field. In case of MA and M. Sc the candidates need to qualify written test conducted by the university and their performance in the last qualifying examination is also considered.
- Candidates seeking admission to MBA can appear and qualify SMAT conducted by the university followed by an interview. The candidates with a valid score in CAT/GMAT/CMAT/NMAT are also eligible.
- Candidates seeking admission to M. Desg must qualify DAT conducted by the university or CEED.
- For MFA, the university conducts a separate interview round followed by a portfolio presentation.

Shiv Nadar University- Admission to PhD
The university also offers PhD program at the Doctorate level. It is offered under various specializations.
- Candidates with Master's degree in the relevant field is the basic required eligibility for admission to PhD. The candidates must qualify the written test conduced by the university followed by department wise interview.
- Candidates with valid scores in CSIR-UGC/NET-JRF or GATE are also eligible and they do not have to take the written test.

For undergraduate Programs
- Candidates can visit the official website of the university for the registration process.
- After they are into the Admission section, they can click on the “Apply Now” link present in undergraduate section.
- Click on “New Registration User”
- Fill the application form online and while filling the application form they must process the payment of application fee.
- Before submitting the form, the candidates must ensure that all the details filled in by them are correct as any incorrect detail may lead to the cancellation of the candidature.
- They must save the application number for future references.
For Postgraduate Programs and PhD
- Visit the official website of the college.
- Candidates must register themselves for the application process.
- Fill in the required details and must upload the required documents in the format asked such as passport sized photographs and signature.
- While filling the application form, the candidates must process the payment of INR 1200 as application fee and the payment can be made via net banking, credit card or debit card.
