Dr. Savita Sengar, Vice Chancellor of the University received the award in New Delhi. Currently many programs are going on for unprivileged girls from Jharkhand. This award has been given to Jharkhand Rai University for its commitment for the empowerment of women. University runs a scholarship Scheme called “DreamZ which seeks to provide underprivileged girl students from disadvantaged socio-economic backgrounds from deep interiors of Jharkhand by offering full scholarship on their tuition fees. The program seeks to uplift these girls through quality education, so that they can make a difference in their own lives and contribute positively to the society at large. Under this scholarship the girls can opt any of the Undergraduate and Post Graduate Degree Programs offered by Jharkhand Rai University, Ranchi. The university is committed to impart free education to 250 such girls every year for its various Bachelors and Masters degree programs. In addition to this, University intends give skill training to 1500 girls from different parts from Jharkhand this year.
