Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science, famously called HITS or Hindustan University was founded in 1985, is located in Kelambakkam, Chennai. HITS was originally called Hindustan College of Engineering but became a university called HITS. HITS Chennai is approved by the UGC, and AICTE and is a member of the AIU. HITS Chennai admissions are typically conducted through its own entrance exams for different courses, the HITSEEE for BTech courses, and the HITSCAT exam in disciplines including B.Des, Law and Management.
