Fore School of Management was established in the academic year of 1981 as a non-profit institution. FORE stands for ‘Foundation for Organizational Research and Education'. The institute has been approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The institute has been accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and has also been granted SAQS accreditation. It has also been approved by Association of Indian Universities. As the name itself suggests, the institute offers postgraduate education programs. The school has collaborations with several organizations and is also involved in Research, Consultancy, Seminars, Academic conferences, and Research Publications.

The institute has been ranked 37^th among management schools in India. The ranking is as per the standards of National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF). 

The PGDM, PGDM (International Business), and PGDM (Financial Management) are the courses offered by the institute. All three programs are approved by AICTE and PGDM and PGDM IB are the programs accredited by NBA. Apart from its national recognition, the institute has also been featured in renowned publications.
