Seat Reservation Policy 2025
- 80% of total seats are reserved for merit students from affiliated colleges of Bodoland University.
- 20% seats are open for candidates from other UGC-recognised universities, including BU itself.
- Special deputation quota: 50% in B.Ed and 20% in M.Ed.
- Category-wise reservation:
- SC: 7%
- ST (Plains): 10%
- ST (Hills): 5%
- OBC & MOBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 27%
- PwD: 3%
- EWS: 10%
Additionally, 20% of seats are reserved for CUET-qualified candidates. If seats remain vacant, BU entrance-qualified candidates will be considered.

Entrance / Merit
- Entrance tests are compulsory for B.Ed, M.Ed, PhD and almost all PG programmes.
- For diploma, certificate and integrated courses students are selected according to the marks in the qualifying exam.
Counselling and Seat Allocation
- Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend counselling and document verification.
- Allotment of seats shall be addressed as per performance in entrance/marginalisation.
