How to Apply for JECA 2025 Counselling: Step-by-Step Guide
The entire counselling process for JECA 2025 is online. Candidates must follow these steps carefully to secure their admission:
- 1. Online Registration: This is the first and most important step. You must register online on the official website. A non-refundable registration fee of INR 500 needs to be paid. Without completing registration, you cannot take part in any round of counselling.
- 2. Enter Your Details Carefully: Fill in all your personal and academic information. This includes your marks from Class 10, Class 12, and Graduation. It is very important to enter these details accurately. No changes or corrections will be allowed after you submit your form.
- 3. Choose Colleges in Order of Preference: You will see a list of colleges you are eligible for. You should select these colleges and arrange them in the order you prefer, from your most desired to least desired choice. Selecting many colleges can help increase your chances of getting a seat.
- 4. Lock Your Choices: Once you have chosen and arranged your colleges, you must lock your choices before the deadline, which is December 15, 2025 . If you forget to lock your choices, they will disappear, and you will not be considered for any seat allotment.
- 5. Check First Round Allotment Result: On December 17, 2025 , check the official website to see if you have been allotted a seat in the first round. If you get a seat, you must pay a non-refundable Seat Acceptance Fee of INR 5,000 online to download your Allotment Letter. Failing to pay this fee or not reporting to the allotted college for document verification will remove you from the entire counselling process.
- 6. Document Verification at Allotted College: If you accept your seat, you need to report to the college you were allotted. Bring all your original documents, along with self-attested copies. These include mark sheets, domicile certificates, and category certificates (if applicable). The college will verify your documents. After verification, you will choose whether you want to try for a potentially better college in the second round (select 'Yes' for upgradation) or if you are happy with the current seat (select 'No').
- 7. Second Round Allotment and Reporting: The results for the second round of seat allotment will be announced on December 23, 2025 . If you get a new seat or an upgraded seat in this round, you must pay the seat acceptance fee again (if you are a fresh allottee) and report to the college for document verification and admission between December 23 and 26, 2025 .
