The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has announced the dates for the Class 12 Uccha Madhyamik exams in 2026. These important board exams will take place from February 12 to February 27, 2026 . The board has also released a full set of rules for students. These rules cover students appearing for Semester 4 exams, Semester 3 Supplementary exams, and those following the old annual examination system. Students must read these guidelines carefully to avoid any problems during their exams.
Admit Card Details for 2026 Exams
Your admit card is required for the exams. How you get it depends on your exam system:
- For Semester 4 and Semester 3 Supplementary Exams: School principals can download and print admit cards from the WBCHSE website using their login details. Students will collect them from their schools. These will be online only.
- For Higher Secondary Exams (Old System): Admit cards will be given out physically from distribution camps. Collection starts on January 28, 2026 . Schools will inform students about their camps.
What to Carry to the Exam Hall
On each exam day, students must bring:
- Your valid admit card, signed by your school principal.
- Your registration certificate.
- Only blue or black ballpoint pens.
If you cannot show your admit card on the first day, you might be allowed to sit for the exam temporarily. You must give a written promise to bring it the next day. If you fail to show your admit card on later days, your exam will be cancelled.

- Old System students must sit in separate rooms, not with Semester 4 students.
- Students from different schools should generally not be mixed in the same room, except if unavoidable.
