The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), West Bengal, has revised the NEET UG 2026 counselling schedule for the first round. The official dates were released on wbmcc.nic.in.
Revised First Round Counselling Dates
Online registration for eligible candidates is now open. The deadline to register is August 23, 2026, midnight . Candidates can also complete the fee payment during this period, from August 20 to August 23, 2026.
Software verification of candidates, excluding NRI candidates, will occur between August 21 and August 24, 2026. This verification will happen at designated colleges during specified time slots, from 11 AM to 4 PM daily.
The final seat matrix for the first round and the list of successfully verified candidates will be published on August 25, 2026 . On the same date, the choice filling and locking window will also close.
The NEET UG 2026 seat allotment result for the first round is scheduled for release on August 31, 2026 . Following the announcement, candidates must report to their allotted colleges between September 1 and September 5, 2026 . Note that September 4 is excluded from the reporting period.

Registration Process
To register for the WB NEET UG 2026 counselling, candidates should follow these steps:
- Visit the official WB MCC website: wbmcc.nic.in .
- Navigate to the UG Medical and Dental Counselling section.
- Click on the New Registration link.
- Enter required details: NEET roll number, application number, date of birth, and password.
- Upload scanned copies of necessary documents, including personal and academic records.
- Pay the counselling fee and submit the application form.
