WB HS Semester 3 Result 2026 Out: Scores, Toppers, District Performance

The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has officially announced the results for the Class 12 (Uchha Madhyamik) Semester 3 examinations. The results were released on November 1, 2025 . This marks a significant moment for students in West Bengal, as it is the first time results have been declared under the new semester-based examination system.   • On the homepage, look for the link that says "WB HS Semester 3 Result 2026". Click on this link.
  • A new page will open asking for your details. Enter your correct roll number .
  • Also, type in your registration number in the space provided.
  • After entering both details, click the 'Submit' or 'Get Result' button.
  • Your full WB HS Semester 3 marks will then be displayed on the screen.
  • It is advised to save a copy of this result. You should also take a printout for your personal records and future reference. Remember, this online copy is not the official mark sheet.

Top Performers and District Results

The WBCHSE has highlighted the achievements of students in this first-ever semester-based result. A total of 69 students have successfully secured positions within the top 10 ranks across the state. Out of these top-ranking students, three are girl students , showcasing their strong academic performance.

An analysis of the top performers shows a clear trend. Most of the students in the top 10 ranks are from the Science stream. Only one student from the Commerce stream managed to achieve a top 10 position. No students from the Arts stream were among the top 10 rank holders this semester.

The first rank was shared by two bright students: Aditya Narayan Jana and Pritam Ballav . Both students are from Purulia Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith and achieved an outstanding score of 98.97 per cent each.

District-Wise Performance Summary

When looking at performance by district, South 24 Parganas emerged as the best-performing district in the WBCHSE HS third-semester examination. This district recorded an impressive pass percentage of 96.72 per cent , reflecting strong academic results.

Following South 24 Parganas, the Nadia district secured the second position in terms of overall pass percentage. The Howrah district also showed strong results, coming in third among all districts in West Bengal.

Important Dates and Next Steps

For the Class 12 third-semester examination, approximately 6.45 lakh students appeared across West Bengal. The examination was conducted smoothly at 2,106 centres throughout the state. The exams took place over two weeks, from September 8 to September 22, 2025 .

Students must understand that the result they check online is a provisional (temporary) result. It cannot be used as a final official document. The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education will send the original mark sheets to all schools. Students should contact their respective schools to collect their official mark sheets in the coming days. The official mark sheet will contain all final scores and grades.

Looking ahead, the next examination, the WB Class 12 HS fourth-semester exam , is already scheduled. These exams will be held from February 12 to February 27, 2026 . Students are advised to start their preparation for the upcoming fourth semester to continue their academic journey successfully.
