Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) announced sixth semester engineering exam results just five minutes after the examinations concluded on Tuesday. The exams, which ended at 5:30 PM, saw results released by 5:35 PM. This marks a new record for the university.
Record Result Announcement
The results were jointly released by VTU Vice Chancellor Prof. S. Vidyashankar and Registrar Evaluation Prof. U.J. Ujwal. A total of 60,856 students took the sixth semester Bachelor of Engineering (BE) and Bachelor of Technology (BTech) exams.
The university reported a pass percentage of 76.8% for the semester. This early announcement follows 21 days of ahead-of-schedule evaluation and result processing.
Digital Evaluation Drives Speed
Prof. S. Vidyashankar attributed the swift announcement to detailed preparation and the collective efforts of the VTU administration, examination section, and staff at affiliated colleges. He acknowledged students' eagerness for their marks.
Registrar Evaluation Prof. U.J. Ujwal highlighted digital evaluation methods and careful planning as key factors. He emphasized the success stemmed from teamwork and cooperation among all involved parties.
Previous Swift Result Declared by VTU
This is not the first instance of VTU delivering rapid result announcements. In 2026, the university released results for 56,000 final-year students within 10 minutes of exam completion.
In 2025, results for 50,321 students were announced within one hour. For the 2024-2025 sixth semester exams, results for 58,232 students were declared within 10 days, prior to this latest five-minute record.
With this achievement, VTU has established a new benchmark in academic result processing efficiency.
