Vidya Bharati launched its 2026 roadmap on April 2, 2026. The plan aligns its 24,000 educational units with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The organization aims to expand its 'India-centric' education model nationwide.

NEP 2020 Alignment

The roadmap focuses on adapting Vidya Bharati's teaching methods. Deshraj Sharma, General Secretary, stated the goal is to transform the classroom experience. The organization will promote a balance between Indian values and science. Education in the mother tongue is a key element.

Scientific Innovation

The network includes 507 Atal Tinkering Labs. These labs foster creativity and design thinking. They prepare rural students for technology-driven futures.

Teacher Training (Acharya Prashikshan)

A large retraining program is underway for 155,000 teachers. This initiative supports NEP 2020's assessment and methodology changes. The focus is on competency-based education and cultural foundations.

National Annual General Meeting

A three-day national meeting will occur in Delhi. It runs from April 3 to April 6, 2026. Over 350 delegates will finalize academic policy for the 2026-2027 session. This includes integrating the National Curriculum Framework (NCF).
