The Veterinary Council of India (VCI) has released the schedule for the 2026 B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree course admissions. Applications open on August 18, 2026 . The counselling process is for seats under the 15% All India Quota in recognized veterinary colleges.
VCI Counselling 2026 Schedule
All admissions will be conducted online. Seat allocation depends on National Eligibility cum-Entrance Test (NEET UG) 2026 scores. The official notice detailing the schedule, recognized colleges, seat matrix, and registration fees was published on August 14, 2026.
Candidates can apply online at vci.admissions.nic.in . The VCI has also made the Information Bulletin for the 2026-27 academic year available on its website.
Counselling Rounds and Dates
The counselling process involves multiple rounds. Each round has specific deadlines for fee payment, registration, choice filling, and seat reporting.

Stray Round Counselling Details
A Stray Round will be conducted for any remaining vacant seats after Round 2. Candidates must pay a registration fee for this round. The fee is Rs. 50,000 for General, OBC, and EWS categories. SC, ST, and PH candidates will pay Rs. 25,000 .
Details of vacant seats for the Stray Round will be posted on the VCI Counselling Portal. Candidates who were allotted seats in Round 1 or Round 2, whether they reported or not, are ineligible for the Stray Round.
Choice locking is available daily from 4:00 PM to 11:55 PM on the last registration day for each round. Registration for all rounds closes at 11:55 PM server time.
