UPPSC 2025 Answer Key

UPPSC Prelims Exam Pattern 2025

The UPPSC Prelims exam has two papers. Here are the details as per the official notification:

It is important for candidates to know that General Studies Paper II (Aptitude) is a qualifying paper only. This means the marks scored in Paper II will **not** be counted when creating the final merit list for the Prelims exam. Only the marks obtained in General Studies Paper I will be considered to decide who qualifies for the next stage.

UPPSC PCS Syllabus for Prelims 2025

The syllabus for the UPPSC Prelims exam is set by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission. The exam mainly asks questions from five fundamental subjects and current affairs. These core subjects include:

  • History of India & Indian National Movement
  • India and World Geography (Physical, Social, Economic aspects of India and the World)
  • Indian Polity and Governance
  • Economic and Social Development
  • General Science

As mentioned, General Studies Paper II is only for qualifying purposes. Marks from this paper are not added to the UPPSC Prelims merit list.
