The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) began registrations on April 27, 2026, for Class 10 and 12 answer sheet scrutiny. Students can apply online at upmsp.edu.in until May 17, 2026 . This process allows students to request a recheck of their examination papers if they believe errors occurred during grading.

Scrutiny Process Overview

The UP Board announced the High School and Intermediate examination results on April 23, 2026. Students who are unsatisfied with their marks can initiate the scrutiny process. All applications must be submitted online and followed by physical document submission by the specified deadline.

How to Apply for Scrutiny

Students seeking scrutiny must follow these steps:

  • Visit the official UPMSP website: upmsp.edu.in .
  • Click the link for 'Online Application For Scrutiny 2026'.
  • Enter your roll number and centre code.
  • Pay the required application fee via a Treasury Challan in the Government Treasury.
  • Download and print the completed application form and payment receipt.
  • Attach the original Treasury Challan to the printed form.
  • Send the complete documents via registered post to the relevant UPMSP Regional Office.

Important Deadlines and Rules

The deadline for scrutiny applications is May 17, 2026 . Offline applications or those submitted after the deadline will be rejected. Both online registration and physical document submission must be completed before the closing date.

Correction of Student Details

Schools can also request corrections to student details. These include errors in name, parent's name, date of birth, and photograph. School principals must download the correction format from upmsp.edu.in. They must verify corrections and obtain approval from the District Inspector of Schools (DIOS). The school then uploads the completed form with supporting documents.

Application Fees

The fee for UP Board answer sheet scrutiny is ₹500 per answer sheet . The written and practical components of a subject are charged separately. For example, applying for both written and practical rechecks for one subject incurs ₹1000. Payments are accepted only via Challan.
