The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) announced the Class 10 and 12 results on April 23, 2026 . Over 54 lakh students took the examinations. This year, Sitapur and Barabanki districts led in Class 10 performance. Sitapur also topped the Class 12 district rankings.
UP Board Class 10 and 12 Results 2026
The UPMSP declared the results at 4:00 PM from Prayagraj. Bhagwati Singh, the Board Secretary, stated the evaluation was completed quickly. A total of 27.32 lakh students registered for Class 10. Another 27.05 lakh registered for Class 12.
The overall pass percentage for Class 10 was 90.42%. For Class 12, the pass percentage was 80.38%. Girls showed a higher pass rate this year. Competition was noted among students from semi-urban areas.
Kashish Verma and Anshika Verma achieved top marks in Class 10, both scoring 97.83%. Shikha Verma secured the top position in Class 12 with 97.60%.

District-wise rankings showed shifts compared to previous years. Sitapur and Barabanki tied for first place in Class 10. Sitapur also produced the state topper for Class 12.

Regional Performance Analysis
Western Uttar Pradesh districts showed improved performance. Meerut and Bareilly recorded higher average scores in Science and Commerce streams. Bareilly had two students in the second and third positions for Class 12 results.
Districts like Varanasi and Gorakhpur maintained high student participation. The 'Varanasi Model' for digital mark uploading was piloted this year. This aims for transparency in internal assessments.
