Exam Centre Selection Process Behind Schedule
Principals were required to upload school infrastructure details by July 20, 2026 . Tehsil-level committees had until August 3, 2026 , to physically verify this data. District Inspectors of Schools (DIOS) offices were then to upload verified details by August 10, 2026 .
As of August 13, 2026 , only 28,535 out of 29,182 affiliated schools submitted the necessary information. The records for 647 schools remain unsubmitted by the DIOS offices, causing the current delay.
Revised Timeline for Centre Finalization
The provisional list of selected examination centres is now expected online by August 17, 2026 . DIOS offices will publish this list on their respective portals by August 18, 2026 .
Students, parents, principals, and school managers can submit objections until August 22, 2026 . Following objection review, a district-level committee will approve the final report. This report must be uploaded to the UP Board portal by September 1, 2026 .
Registration Corrections Extended
The UP Board has relaxed registration rules for new admissions. Students seeking admission to Classes 9 and 11 can now correct their online advance registration details. Previously, no changes were permitted after photograph and signature uploads.
Schools can now upload student photographs and signatures, and make corrections, until August 20, 2026 . Families should confirm pending steps with their schools before this deadline.
