The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has announced the dates for Class 12 practical and theory exams for the year 2026. The practical exams will take place in two phases starting from January 24, 2026 . Theory exams will follow, beginning on February 18, 2026 , and ending on March 12, 2026 . Practical Exams Start Soon
UPMSP announced the Class 12 practical exam dates on December 16, 2025 . The practical exams will be held in two parts across different regions of Uttar Pradesh.
Phase 1 Practical Exams
The first phase of practical exams will run from January 24, 2026, to February 1, 2026 . This phase covers students from the following regions: Agra, Saharanpur, Bareilly, Lucknow, Jhansi, Chitrakoot, Faizabad, Azamgarh, Devipatan, and Basti. Please note that there will be no exams on January 29 and 30.
Phase 2 Practical Exams
The second phase of practical exams will be held from February 2, 2026, to February 9, 2026 . This phase includes students from Meerut, Aligarh, Moradabad, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Mirzapur, Varanasi, and Gorakhpur regions.

Important Rules for Practical Exams
Students must follow these rules during their practical exams:
- Always bring your UP Board Class 12 admit card and your school ID . You cannot enter without them.
- Arrive at the exam center at least 30 minutes before the exam begins.
- Wear your complete school uniform.
- Carry all necessary items like pen, pencil, and lab coat. Do not depend on others, as sharing might not be allowed.
- Do not bring bags, books, or notes into the exam room.
- Mobile phones, smartwatches, and other electronic gadgets are not allowed.
- Calculators are generally not allowed unless specifically permitted by the teacher for a particular subject.
UP Board Class 12 Theory Exam Dates 2026
After the practical exams, the Class 12 theory exams will begin. The board has also announced the full schedule for these written exams. The exams are split into two shifts: a morning shift from 8:30 AM to 11:45 AM and an evening shift from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM .
