The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UP Board) has launched a new system for correcting errors on Class 10 and 12 marksheets and certificates. This change aims to streamline the process for students and eliminate the need for them to visit regional board offices. Previously, students had to personally report to regional offices for corrections after receiving their physical documents.
Correction Process Updated
Under the new procedure, schools will now verify online marksheets for accuracy. If errors are found in details such as names, parent names, or dates of birth, school principals must submit correction applications online. These applications require supporting documents and approval from the District Inspector of Schools. Approximately 7,300 schools have already submitted correction requests for students.
Benefits for Students
The UP Board is forwarding these verified applications to the relevant regional offices. Necessary corrections will be made based on the submitted documentation. Students will receive error-free marksheets and certificates through their respective schools. This update addresses potential issues students might face with admissions or scholarship applications due to incorrect academic details.
Digital Modernization
Board officials state this initiative will reduce hardship for students and parents. The process is intended to be more transparent and efficient. The UP Board views this as a step towards modernizing its examination and certification procedures digitally. Corrections are made without charge.
