The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released admit cards for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) December 2025 session. These admit cards are for exams scheduled on December 31, 2025 , and January 2, 2026 . Students who registered for these dates can download their admit card from the official NTA website: ugcnet.nta.nic.in . The UGC NET exam checks if a candidate is eligible for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) roles in Indian universities.
What is UGC NET?

How to Download Your Admit Card
Downloading your UGC NET Admit Card 2025 is a simple process. Follow these steps carefully:
- First, open your internet browser and go to the official website: ugcnet.nta.nic.in .
- On the homepage, look for a link that says 'UGC NET December 2025 Admit Card' or similar. Click on this link.
- You will be taken to a new page. Here, you need to enter your Application Number . This is the unique number you received when you filled out the application form.
- Next, enter your Date of Birth in the correct format.
- Also, enter the security pin or captcha code shown on the screen. This is to ensure you are not a robot.
- After entering all details, click on the 'Submit' or 'Download Admit Card' button.
- Your admit card will appear on your screen. Check all the details on it very carefully.
- Download the admit card. Then, take a clear printout. It is best to take two printouts for safety.
Remember, you must carry this printed admit card to the examination hall. Without it, you will not be allowed to take the exam.

Important Rules for Exam Day
Students must follow these rules on the day of the exam:
- Take a clear printout of your UGC NET Admit Card 2025 .
- Carry an original government ID proof. Examples include Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Passport, Voter ID , or Driving License .
- Bring one passport-size photo. This photo must be the same as the one uploaded in your application form. It is for the attendance sheet.
- Check all details on your admit card carefully. Look for your name, category, and photo. If anything is wrong, contact the NTA Help Desk right away.

Sometimes, students might face issues while downloading their admit card or find wrong information on it. If this happens, do not worry.
If you cannot download your admit card, check your internet connection. Also, make sure you are entering the correct application number and date of birth.
If there is any mistake in your name, father's name, mother's name, category, date of birth, photo, or signature on the admit card, you must contact the NTA Help Desk immediately. It is important to fix these mistakes before your exam date.
