TS ICET 2026 Marking Scheme and Qualifying Marks
The TS ICET exam consists of 200 questions. Each correct answer receives 1 mark. There is no negative marking for incorrect answers. To qualify, candidates from OC and BC categories need at least 50 marks out of 200. This is 25 percent of the total score.
SC and ST candidates do not have a minimum qualifying mark for rank allotment. Their rank is determined solely by their score.
TS ICET Rank Allotment Process
Rank is assigned based on normalized scores, not raw scores. Normalization accounts for slight variations in difficulty across different exam sessions. If multiple candidates achieve the same normalized score, tie-breaking rules apply.
The first preference in a tie goes to the candidate with higher marks in Section A (Analytical Ability). If the tie persists, marks in Section B (Mathematical Ability) are considered. If the tie remains unresolved, the older candidate receives the better rank. All ranks are valid only for the current admission year.
