Online registration for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) 2026 began on May 3, 2026. Students can apply for undergraduate engineering programs in Tamil Nadu's colleges. The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE) manages the process. Over two lakh seats are available in more than 400 colleges. Admissions will be handled through a single window counselling system.
Eligibility and Application
To be eligible for TNEA 2026, candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent. Required subjects are Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The minimum aggregate mark is 45% for the General category. Reserved categories need 40%.
Key Dates
The registration period closes on June 2, 2026. Candidates must upload their documents by June 6, 2026. The official rank list will be published on June 29, 2026.
How to Apply
Applications are accepted online at tneaonline.org or dte.tn.gov.in . The application fee is Rs. 500 for General category students. SC, SCA, and ST candidates pay Rs. 250 .
Required Documents
After registration, applicants must upload specific documents. This includes 10th and 12th mark sheets. A Transfer Certificate (TC) is also required. Community Certificates are necessary for reserved categories. These documents undergo online verification.
