TN TET 2025 Exam Dates, Instructions, Reporting Time

The Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB) of Tamil Nadu will hold the Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test (TN TET) 2025 . This important exam helps choose teachers for government and government-aided schools across Tamil Nadu. The exam starts on November 15, 2025 . Students who want to become teachers for primary and upper primary classes must take this test.

The TN TET 2025 exam will happen offline. Paper 1 is for those who want to teach classes 1 to 5. Paper 2 is for teaching classes 6 to 8. Both papers will be held on different days in a single shift, from 10 AM to 1 PM . Candidates will use OMR sheets to mark their answers.

Important Exam Day Instructions

All candidates must follow a strict set of rules on the day of the exam. Following these rules helps the exam run smoothly and fairly for everyone. Not following these rules can lead to disqualification from the exam.

What to Bring Inside the Exam Hall

  • Admit Card: Candidates must bring their official TN TET 2025 admit card . No one can enter the exam hall without it.
  • Photo ID: A valid photo identity proof is needed. This can be an Aadhar card, PAN card, Voter ID, or Driving License. The name on the ID must match the admit card.
  • Pen: Only a blue or black ballpoint pen is allowed. This pen is for marking answers on the OMR sheet. Gel pens or fountain pens are not allowed.
  • Simple Watch: Candidates can wear a simple wristwatch. It should not have any smart features, cameras, or calculators. Smartwatches and digital watches with advanced functions are strictly banned.

What Not to Bring and Other Rules

  • No Late Entry: The exam hall gates will close at a specific time. Candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam center after the gates are closed, even if they arrive a few minutes late. It is important to reach on time.
  • Banned Items: Electronic devices are not allowed. This includes mobile phones, smartwatches, earphones, and calculators. Any study material, notes, or other stationery not permitted by TRB is also strictly forbidden inside the exam hall.
  • Follow Instructions: Candidates must read all instructions written on their admit card carefully. They must also follow all directions given by the exam invigilators (supervisors) inside the hall.
  • Maintain Silence: Once the exam begins, candidates must keep silent. They should not talk to other candidates or try to communicate in any way.
  • Seating Arrangement: Candidates must sit only in the seat assigned to them. The seating plan will be provided at the exam center.
  • Fill OMR Sheet Carefully: Candidates must fill the OMR answer sheet very carefully. Any mistakes, like marking multiple options or not following the filling guidelines, can make the answer sheet invalid.

TN TET 2025 Reporting Time

Candidates must reach their exam center well before the exam starts. It is advised to arrive at least 60 minutes before the scheduled exam time. This gives enough time to complete entry checks and find the correct hall and seat.

The latest candidates can arrive at the exam center is 30 minutes before the exam begins. Anyone arriving after this time may not be allowed to enter the exam hall and will be disqualified. Candidates must check their admit card for the exact reporting time and venue details for their specific exam.
