Tamil Nadu Class 10 and 12 board exam results are expected soon. The Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE) is finalizing results for over 17 lakh students. Answer sheets are currently being evaluated across the state.
The Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) or Class 12 results are tentatively scheduled for announcement on May 8, 2026 . Results for Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) or Class 10, and Higher Secondary First Year (+1) are anticipated on May 20, 2026 . Both are expected around 9:00 AM .
This year's announcement schedule differs slightly from previous years. The DGE has adjusted the timeline to fit the state's administrative calendar.
How to Check Results
Students can access their results online. Two official websites will host the scorecards. These are tnresults.nic.in and dge.tn.gov.in . A third portal, dge1.tn.nic.in , is also available to help manage website traffic.
To view the provisional marksheet, students need their registration number. They also need their date of birth in DD/MM/YYYY format. The online result is provisional. Original certificates will be issued later by schools.
Accessing Your Marksheet
- Go to the official Tamil Nadu results website: tnresults.nic.in .
- Click on the link for the Class 12 or Class 10 results.
- Enter your registration number from your hall ticket.
- Input your date of birth in the specified DD/MM/YYYY format.
- Click the 'get marks' button to display your provisional marksheet.
- Save or print a copy of the downloaded result for your records.
The DGE has also integrated results with the DigiLocker platform. A dedicated mobile app, 'TN SSLC & HSE Result', is available. These options provide alternative ways to check scores and reduce load on the official websites.
Pass rates have shown a steady increase in recent years. This trend is particularly noted among female students.
