How to Participate in Round 2 Counselling
Eligibility for Round 2
Students who did not register in Round 1, or those who registered but were not allotted a seat, can apply. Candidates wishing to upgrade their college or course from Round 1 can also participate. Both General Quota (GR 001 to GR 6989) and Management Quota (GR 001 to R 3912) candidates are eligible to take part.
Online Registration and Fee Payment
The first step is to register online on tnmedicalselection.net . During registration, candidates need to pay the counselling fee. The fee includes a non-refundable INR 1,000 for both Government and Management quotas, plus a refundable fee. Ensure your payment is completed between December 19 and December 20, 2025 .
Choice Filling and Locking Process
After successful registration, candidates must log in to fill in their choices of colleges and postgraduate medical courses. Students can edit their choices multiple times during the specified period. Once the choices are 'locked', no further changes can be made. Seats are allotted based on these preferences and NEET PG rank. This crucial step must be completed between December 20 and December 21, 2025 .
Seat Allotment Result Announcement
The DME Tamil Nadu will process all submitted choices and candidate ranks on December 22, 2025 . The seat allotment result for Round 2 will be published online on December 23, 2025 . Downloading Allotment Letter and College Joining
Candidates who receive a seat in Round 2 must download their provisional allotment letter from the website. This letter will be available for download from December 23 to December 30, 2025 .
