Tamil Nadu Class 12 results for 2026 were released on May 8, 2026 . The Directorate of Government Examinations (TNDGE) published the HSE (Higher Secondary Examination) results. Students can check their scores on the official website, tnresults.nic.in. The results show a statewide pass percentage of 95.20% .
Girls achieved a higher pass rate than boys. This trend has continued for multiple years. Erode district recorded the highest pass percentage among all districts. Tiruppur and Coimbatore districts followed Erode in performance.
Passing Requirements
To pass the Tamil Nadu Class 12 exams, students need at least 35 marks out of 100 in each subject. For subjects with practical components, passing both theory and practical exams is necessary. Scores are graded from A1 (91-100) to E1 (Fail, below 35). Students who score below 35 are eligible for supplementary exams.
Accessing Results
Students can download provisional marksheets online. They will need their registration number and date of birth. Original mark certificates will be distributed through students' respective schools later. The TNDGE reported high scores in Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics this year.
