Exam Pattern and Marks
The Class 12 examinations are conducted in an offline, pen-and-paper format. The exam paper will include different types of questions. These include multiple-choice questions (MCQs), short answer questions, and long answer questions. The paper is generally divided into various sections.
Each subject generally carries a maximum of 100 marks . This total is usually divided as follows:
- Theory: 70 marks
 - Practical: 20 marks (for subjects that have a practical component)
 - Internal Assessment: 10 marks
 
For subjects without a practical component, the entire 100 marks will be for the theory paper and internal assessment.
Passing Marks
To pass each subject, students must score a minimum of 35 marks out of 100 in total. For subjects that include practical exams, specific rules apply:
- Students must score at least 15 marks out of 70 in the theory part.
 - It is compulsory for students to appear for the practical examination.
