The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TGBIE) has extended the application deadline for Class 11 admissions for the 2026-27 academic year. School administrators now have until August 31, 2026 , to submit online registrations for Inter first-year students. The previous deadline was August 15, 2026.
Admission Process and Website
All first-year intermediate admissions will be processed online. Applications must be submitted through the official TGBIE academic website, acadtgbie.cgg.gov.in. This website is the central portal for all registration activities.
Reservation Criteria
Principals of all junior colleges must adhere to established reservation rules for admissions. These rules apply to government, private aided, private unaided, and residential colleges. The reservation categories and percentages are as follows:

Additionally, 33.33% (one-third) of total seats must be reserved for girls in colleges without separate women's sections. This reservation applies across all categories.
Important Admission Guidelines
Admissions will be based on the Grade Point Average (GPA) and subject-wise Grade Point (GP) from previous academic records for existing students. For new students, admissions will be based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination. No entrance test will be conducted for admissions.
Submitting the student's Aadhaar number is mandatory for all admissions in TGBIE-affiliated colleges. College managements must prominently display the number of sanctioned sections, seats filled, and vacant seats for each section. This information needs daily updates.
Special Instructions for Principals
For children of Jogini families, the Mother's name should be entered instead of the Father's name in admission records, aligning with qualifying examination records.
A mandatory 'Anti-Drug Declaration' must be obtained from both students and parents during the admission process. This aims to promote a drug-free educational environment.
