The schedule for the Selection Post Recruitment Examination 2025 has been made public by SSC. The official announcement states that the computer-based test (CBT) would be administered from July 24 to August 1 in order to fill 2,423 positions in different parts of the nation.
The purpose of the recruitment exam is to choose applicants for Group B (non-gazetted) and Group C (non-technical) jobs in various central government ministries, departments, and lower-level offices. Based on educational credentials, the exam is divided into three levels: graduation and beyond, higher secondary (Class 12), and matriculation (Class 10).
Those who have registered for posts under only one qualification level will be required to appear for a single examination. However, those applying across different levels must take each corresponding test.
Exam Pattern And Marking Scheme
The CBT will consist of four sections with 25 questions each, carrying a total of 50 marks per section. The subjects include:
- General Intelligence
- General Awareness
- Quantitative Aptitude (basic arithmetic)
- English Language (basic understanding)
A penalty of 0.5 marks will be applied for each wrong response. If the examination is administered over several shifts, the Commission will use a normalization procedure to account for differences in difficulty. These normalized scores will serve as the basis for final merit lists and cut-off scores.
The SSC Selection Post exam is a major recruiting campaign for candidates around the country since it gives students the chance to obtain central government positions in a variety of industries and levels.
