The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has started the medical tests for Constable (General Duty) posts in various forces. These tests are for candidates who have successfully passed the physical fitness exams. About 95,577 candidates are expected to attend these medical examinations and document checks. The tests began recently and will continue until December 4, 2025 , at different centers across India. All candidates taking the medical test must download their admit cards from the official SSC website.

The medical tests are a key step to join the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs). What Happens During the Medical Test?

During the SSC GD Constable medical examination, a team of doctors from the respective CAPFs will check the health of each candidate. This medical board will examine candidates to ensure they meet the specific health standards required for a Constable. The check-ups cover various health aspects to ensure candidates are fit for duty. Candidates should be prepared for a thorough health review by the medical team.

Document Verification is Key

Along with the medical test, candidates will also go through a document verification (DV) process. This step is very important. Candidates must bring all their original documents . They also need to carry self-attested photocopies of each original certificate for checking. The authorities will compare all the details with the official records. Any mismatch or missing document can lead to problems, so candidates must prepare carefully.
