The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released important updates for students who appeared in the Constable (GD) exam 2025. If you cleared the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST) for this exam, you must now get ready for the Document Verification (DV) and Detailed Medical Examination (DME).

The DV and DME rounds will begin on November 12, 2025 . These are the last steps before candidates are finally selected for various government security forces.

What is the SSC GD Exam?

The SSC GD Constable exam helps select young people for jobs in different police and security forces in India. These jobs include:

  • Constable (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs)
  • Constable (GD) in Secretariat Security Force (SSF)
  • Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles
  • Sepoy in Narcotics Control Bureau

The full selection process has many steps: first, a written exam, then physical tests (PET and PST), and finally, Document Verification and Medical Examination.

Who Can Appear for DV/DME?

Only candidates who successfully passed the PET and PST are eligible to attend the DV and DME rounds. The results for the PET and PST were announced on October 13, 2025 . If your name was on that list, you must attend these upcoming rounds to continue in the selection process.

Why are Document Verification and Medical Examination Important?

These two rounds are very important. The Staff Selection Commission uses them to make sure that:

  • Your Documents Are Correct: They check if all your educational certificates, age proof, caste certificates (if you applied in a special category), and other documents are correct and true. This makes sure you meet all the rules for the job.
  • You Are Medically Fit: They check your health to confirm you are physically and medically strong enough for the tough jobs in the armed forces. You must meet certain health standards.

Only those candidates who are found eligible (meaning their documents are correct) and medically fit (meaning they pass the health checks) will be included in the final list for the SSC GD Constable jobs.

How to Download Your SSC GD DV Admit Card 2025

To attend your Document Verification and Medical Examination, you need an admit card. This admit card will tell you the exact date, time, and specific location for your DV/DME.

You can download your admit card online from the official website of the Staff Selection Commission. Follow these simple steps:

  1. Go to the official SSC website (ssc.nic.in).
  2. Look for the 'Admit Card' section or 'Latest News' on the homepage.
  3. Find the link that says "SSC GD DV/DME Admit Card 2025".
  4. Click on the link and enter your important details like your roll number, registration ID, and date of birth.
  5. Your admit card will appear on your computer screen.
  6. Download the admit card and take at least two or three printouts. Keep these safe.

Documents to Bring for DV/DME

When you go for your Document Verification, you must carry all the necessary papers. If you forget any important document, you might not be allowed to appear for the verification. Here is a list of important items you should carry:

  • Admit Card: Your printed SSC GD DV/DME admit card.
  • Original Documents: Bring the original copies of these certificates:
    • Class 10th and 12th mark sheets and passing certificates (for age and education proof).
    • Caste Certificate (for SC/ST/OBC candidates) issued by the right government authority.
    • Domicile Certificate or Permanent Residence Certificate.
    • Any other higher education certificates, if you listed them in your application.
    • Discharge Certificate for candidates who are ex-servicemen.
  • Photocopies: Carry at least two sets of self-attested (signed by you) photocopies of all your original documents.
  • Photographs: Take at least 6-8 recent passport-size photographs.
  • Identification Proof: A valid photo ID card like your Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, Driving License, or Passport.

Make sure all your documents are organised and the details on them match what you wrote in your application form. If there are any differences or if a document is missing, it could lead to your application being rejected.

Candidates should also check the official notice from SSC for any specific instructions or extra documents needed for their area. Being ready with all documents is very important to complete these final steps successfully.
