The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will soon announce the SSC CHSL Tier 1 Result 2025. Students who took the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) exam can check their results on the official website, ssc.gov.in, once they are declared. This exam aims to fill various Group C government job positions across different ministries and departments in India.
The SSC CHSL Tier 1 exam was held from November 12 to November 30, 2025. Candidates have been eagerly waiting for these results. The Commission will also release the cutoff marks for different categories and posts along with the results.
About the SSC CHSL Exam
The CHSL exam is for students who have completed Class 12. It helps recruit young people for several important jobs in the Indian government. These jobs include:
- Lower Division Clerk (LDC)
- Junior Secretarial Assistant (JSA)
- Postal Assistant (PA)
- Sorting Assistant (SA)
- Data Entry Operator (DEO)
- Data Entry Operator (Grade A)
SSC CHSL Tier 1 Result Details
When the SSC CHSL Tier 1 result is announced, it will include a list of qualified candidates. The result document is a PDF file and will show:
- Candidates' roll numbers
- Candidates' names
- Mother's name
- Father's name
The SSC will also release category-wise cutoff marks along with the result. This means there will be different minimum scores for categories like General, OBC, SC, and ST. Cutoff marks will also be released for each job post. The merit list for Tier 1 is made based on these cutoff marks. It is important to know that the marks from Tier 1 are not counted for your final selection or merit list.
How to Check Your SSC CHSL Tier 1 Result 2025
Follow these simple steps to download your result once it is declared:
- Go to the official SSC website: ssc.gov.in.
- On the homepage, click on the "Result" tab at the top.
- You will see different exam categories. Select the "CHSL" exam tab.
- Find the link for "SSC CHSL Tier 1 Result 2025" and click it.
- A PDF file will open. This PDF contains the roll numbers and names of all qualified candidates.
- Search for your roll number in the PDF. You can use the search function (Ctrl+F on a computer).
- Download the result PDF and save it for future use.
What's Next: The Tier 2 Exam
Candidates who qualify in the Tier 1 exam will move to the next stage: the SSC CHSL Tier 2 exam. This exam is mandatory for final selection. The Tier 2 exam for the 2025 cycle is expected to be held around February-March 2026.
SSC CHSL Tier 2 Exam Pattern
The Tier 2 exam has two main parts, called Sessions:
Session 1: Objective Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
This session tests candidates on:
- Mathematical Abilities
- Reasoning and General Intelligence
- English Language and Comprehension
- General Awareness
Session 2: Skill Test / Typing Test
This session is for specific job roles:
- A Skill Test is done for Data Entry Operator (DEO) jobs.
- A Typing Test is done for Lower Division Clerk (LDC) and Junior Secretarial Assistant (JSA) jobs.
Please note that the exam center for Tier 2, once given, cannot be changed.
In the previous year, 2024, about 41,465 candidates were selected from Tier 1 to appear for the Tier 2 exam. This included 39,835 candidates for LDC/JSA jobs and 1,630 candidates for DEO jobs.
