SLAT 2026 Expected Cutoff Marks

After the results are out, the next important thing is the cutoff. The cutoff is the minimum score a student needs to get to be considered for admission to a particular law school. Each Symbiosis Law School campus will release its own cutoff marks. Below are the expected cutoff marks for SLAT 2026 based on previous trends:

Law School NameExpected Cutoff Marks
SLS Pune40 +
SLS Noida32 +
SLS Hyderabad28 +
SLS Nagpur25 +

Understanding the Cutoff Trends

Based on results from previous years, certain trends are generally observed in SLAT cutoffs. For example, SLS Pune usually has the highest cutoff marks. This means it is typically harder to get into SLS Pune compared to other campuses. SLS Noida follows with the second-highest cutoff, indicating a competitive selection process there as well. In contrast, SLS Hyderabad and SLS Nagpur generally have lower cutoffs, making them more accessible for many students.

For students in the General category, scoring 45 or more marks is considered a very strong performance. Such a score significantly increases the chances of being shortlisted for the Personal Interview (PI) round, which is a crucial part of the admission process for Symbiosis Law Schools.

What Happens Next?

Once you have your SLAT 2026 results and have seen the expected cutoffs, the next stage of the admission process begins. You will need to wait for each Symbiosis Law School to announce its official cutoff list. If your score meets or exceeds the cutoff for a particular campus, you will be shortlisted. Shortlisted candidates are then invited for further admission rounds.

These rounds usually include a Personal Interview (PI) and a Written Ability Test (WAT). Both the PI and WAT are very important for your final selection, so prepare for them carefully. It is essential to stay updated with the official SLAT website for all announcements regarding actual cutoffs, and the specific dates for PI and WAT for each campus.
