The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) will conduct the Phase I examination for Grade A (Assistant Manager) posts on January 10, 2026 . Candidates who applied for this recruitment can now download their admit cards, also called call letters, from the official SEBI website. The SEBI Grade A Phase I exam will be held online. All questions will be of the objective type. This exam is a key step for those aspiring to join SEBI as Assistant Managers in various streams.
Exam Schedule and Duration
The Phase I exam consists of two papers:
- Paper 1: Candidates will get 60 minutes to complete this paper.
- Paper 2: Candidates will get 40 minutes to complete this paper.
It is important to reach the exam center at least one hour before the exam starts. The exact timings for your specific exam will be mentioned on your admit card.
Exam Language
Most sections of the exam will be available in both English and Hindi. However, the English Language section will only be in English.

Detailed Subjects for Paper 1 and Paper 2
Paper 1 covers general knowledge and aptitude. This includes questions to test your awareness of current events, especially those related to India's financial system. It also checks your skills in English, Maths (Quantitative Aptitude), and logical thinking (Reasoning Ability).
Paper 2 focuses on subjects specific to the stream you have applied for. For example, if you applied for the General stream, you will answer questions on topics like Commerce, Accountancy, Management, Finance, Costing, Company Law, and Economics. If you applied for the Legal stream, questions will be related to legal subjects, and similarly for Research, Engineering, Official Language, and Information Technology streams.
How to Download Your SEBI Grade A Phase I Admit Card 2025-26
Your admit card is available online. Follow these simple steps to download it:
- Go to the official SEBI website: sebi.gov.in
- On the homepage, look for and click on the 'Careers' tab.
- A new page will open. Find the link that says "Recruitment of Officer Grade A (Assistant Manager) 2025 - General Stream, Legal Stream, Information Technology Stream, Research Stream, Official Language Stream, Engineering (Electrical) Stream and Engineering (Civil) Stream - Call Letter for Phase I" and click on it.
- On the next page, click on the link for "Call letter for Phase I".
- You will need to log in. Enter your Registration Number or Roll Number and your Password or Date of Birth .
- After logging in, your SEBI Grade A admit card will appear on your screen.
- Download the admit card and take a printout .
What to Carry to the Exam Center
On the day of the exam, you must carry your printed SEBI Grade A Phase I admit card . Also, bring one valid photo identity (ID) card for verification. This could be your Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, Passport, or Driving License. Make sure the details on your admit card match your ID card.
