The Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) has officially extended the last date for HSLC (Class 10) examination 2026 registration due to the closure of schools and government offices during the Durga Puja holidays.
According to the revised schedule, students can now complete the HSLC registration process till October 21, 2025, while the fee payment window will remain open until October 24, 2025. Earlier, the final date to register was October 4, 2025.
The decision aims to ensure that all students get sufficient time to complete their registration process amid the festive break.
Official Notification Highlights
In an official circular, SEBA stated:
“In view of the closure of schools and offices due to the forthcoming Durga Puja vacation, the last date for Form Fill-up of the HSLC Examination, 2026 has been extended up to 21st October, 2025. The last date for submission of payment is 24th October, 2025.”
The board also made it mandatory for every candidate to possess a valid bank account in their own name. Schools have been directed to upload the bank account details of each student while filling out the registration form.
SEBA has further cautioned that failure to provide these details will lead to disqualification from receiving exam-related allowances.
