RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat will speak to students at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) in Mumbai on August 6, 2026 . The event marks the 15th anniversary of India’s International Movement to Unite Nations (IIMUN). Bhagwat will address the opening of IIMUN’s Annual Championship Conference. The conference focuses on national, local, and global issues. Approximately 2,000 high school students from over 100 cities are expected to attend. The theme for the inaugural session is "The Role of Youth in Uniting the World, the Indian Way." Bhagwat’s address will focus on this theme.
IIMUN Conference Details
The IIMUN Annual Championship Conference is a flagship event. Students aged 15 to 19 will participate. They represent schools and colleges nationwide. This gathering is one of the largest youth-led events. IIMUN organizes 108 conferences annually. It also leads civic and community initiatives. These programs target students aged 11 to 19. They are run by young people aged 15 to 24.
About IIMUN
IIMUN was founded in 2011 by Rishabh Shah. It describes itself as a public affairs platform. The organization promotes dialogue and leadership among youth. It spreads the idea of Bharat. For 15 years, volunteers aged 15 to 24 have managed IIMUN. Former participants have pursued careers as elected officials, civil servants, and business leaders.
IIMUN’s programs collaborate with 1.5 lakh schools and colleges. These reach 7.5 crore young people. The organization operates in 275 Indian cities and 40 countries. Its Advisory Board includes notable figures. These include Ajay Piramal, Deepak Parekh, and Shashi Tharoor.
Rishabh Shah, IIMUN Founder, stated the importance of dialogue. He highlighted the need for this dialogue at India’s current juncture. "Leadership is not only about guiding the next generation, but also listening to it," Shah said. He expressed gratitude to Mohan Bhagwat for accepting the invitation.
