The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced a new date for the RRB NTPC Graduate Level exam for a specific group of candidates. The exam that was originally scheduled for December 30, 2025, will now be held on February 11, 2026 . This change only affects the candidates who were supposed to take the exam on December 30, 2025. All other exam dates remain the same.
Exam City and Admit Card Details
Candidates can check their exam city and exam date starting 10 days before February 11, 2026 . The link to view this information will be available on the official websites of all regional RRBs. Special travel passes will be provided to candidates from Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) to help them reach their exam centers. These will also be available for download 10 days before the new exam date.
The admit cards, also known as e-call letters, will be released four days before the new exam date . Candidates must download their admit cards and bring them to the exam center. No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall without a valid admit card.
About the Typing Skill Test
After the main written exam, candidates who pass will need to take a computer-based typing skill test. Here's what you need to know:
- Candidates must type at least 300 words in English or 200 words in Hindi within a set time.
- For Hindi typing, candidates should be familiar with the Krutidev or Mangal font.
- The typing test has three parts:
- One minute for practice typing to get used to the keyboard.
- A 30-second break.
- The main typing test for 10 minutes, which will be used for scoring.
- Your typing speed will be checked during the test.
- If you finish typing the passage before the 10 minutes are up, you can start typing it again from the beginning.
- Candidates who cannot type the passage even once within the 10-minute limit will be disqualified.
Probation and Salary
After being selected for RRB NTPC posts, candidates will have a probation period of two years . During this time, they might not receive all the employee benefits. The starting basic salary for undergraduate posts is between INR 19,900 to INR 21,700 per month. For graduate posts, the basic salary ranges from INR 25,500 to INR 35,400 per month.
Document Verification
All candidates who are shortlisted after the written exams and skill tests must attend a document verification round. You will need to bring original and copies of important documents, such as your pass certificate, identity proof, caste certificate, recent photographs, a health certificate, and a domicile certificate.
