About the RRB NTPC Recruitment

The RRB NTPC exam is held to select candidates for various non-technical posts in the Indian Railways. The process involves different stages, including Computer Based Tests (CBTs) and skill tests like the CBTST.

For graduate-level posts, the Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) was conducted on December 28, 2026 . However, the typing skill test that was previously scheduled has been cancelled. The RRB will announce new dates for this specific skill test very soon. This means candidates should keep checking the official RRB websites for the latest updates.

What is CBTST?

CBTST stands for Computer Based Typing Skill Test. It is a test to check a candidate's typing speed and accuracy on a computer. This skill is required for certain posts under the NTPC recruitment.

How to Download Your Admit Card

Candidates will need an admit card to enter the examination centre for the rescheduled typing skill test. The admit card is expected to be available for download about four days before the actual exam date.

Here are the steps to download your admit card:

  • Visit the official website of the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) you applied to.
  • Look for the link that says 'RRB NTPC Admit Card Download' on the homepage.
  • Click on this link.
  • You will need to enter your User ID, which is your registration number.
  • You will also need to enter your password, which is usually your date of birth.
  • After entering these details, your admit card will appear on the screen.
  • Click on the print option to download and take a printout of your admit card.

Important Reminder for Admit Card:

Candidates must carry a printed copy of their admit card to the exam centre. Along with the admit card, you must also bring a valid photo identity proof. The RRB will not send any hard copies of the admit card by post, so downloading and printing it yourself is important.

Students are advised to regularly visit the official RRB websites for any further announcements regarding exam dates and admit card releases.
