How to Apply
Interested students must apply online through the official RBI website. The application form will be available from January 15, 2026, to February 4, 2026. Make sure to complete the application and pay the required fees within these dates.
Selection Process
Candidates will be selected in two main steps:
- Online Exam: First, all eligible candidates will take an online computer-based exam. Your score in this exam will be very important for selection.
- Language Proficiency Test (LPT): Candidates who pass the online exam will then need to take a Language Proficiency Test. This test checks if you can read, write, speak, and understand the local language of the State or Union Territory for which you applied. You must pass this test to be considered for the job.
Eligibility Criteria for Office Attendant
Before applying, it is important to check if you meet all the requirements. Here are the main eligibility rules:
1. Nationality
You must be one of the following:
- An Indian citizen.
- A subject of Nepal or Bhutan.
- A Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, and plans to settle permanently in India.
- A person of Indian origin who has moved from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia), and Vietnam with the plan of settling permanently in India.
2. Age Limit
- Your age must be between 18 and 25 years.
- This means you should have been born between January 2, 2001, and January 1, 2008 (both days included).
- There will be age relaxation for candidates from certain categories, as per government rules.
3. Educational Qualification
- You must have passed Class 10 (SSC/Matriculation) from a recognized board. This board should be in the State or Union Territory where the RBI office you are applying to is located.
- You must be an undergraduate as of January 1, 2026. This means you should not have completed your graduation degree by this date.
- Important: Graduates and candidates who have higher educational qualifications cannot apply for these posts.
4. Special Rules for Ex-Servicemen
- If you are an Ex-serviceman, you must have passed Class 10 (SSC/Matriculation).
- You must have served in the defence forces for at least 15 years.
- You should not have a graduate degree from outside the Armed Forces.
5. Language Skills
You must be good at the local language of the State or Union Territory where the office you are applying to is. This means you should be able to read, write, speak, and understand that language well.
